(KZN.RU, June 27). Anna Budnikova from Kazan received the award of the Biodesign Challenge for the best scientific project in the field of architecture. In New York, her work was recognized as the most successful among the studies of 500 other participants from 36 universities in the world. The architect received the right to publish her project in international scientific journals.
In the study “Micocarst: a new generation of self-regenerating materials in the urban environment based on mushroom spores”, Anna Budnikova studied the problem of karst dips using the example of a stretch along the Noksaa River in Kazan.
The Biodesign Challenge program is aimed at supporting students studying biotechnology to solve global problems. Participants created their projects together with biologists-supervisors for half a year. And on June 21, they presented them to the scientific community, according to the website of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing of the RT.
