(KZN.RU, July 10). Deputies of the Kazan City Duma assessed the organization of summer holidays for children in the summer municipal camp of Kazan. They appreciated the conditions for recreation and leisure of children, catering and medical care in the children's camp “Brigantina”. It is located in the Pestrechinsky district of the RT on the right bank of the river Mesha.
The visiting meeting was attended by Lyudmila Andreeva, the deputy head of the Kazan Municipality, deputies of the Kazan City Council Fanis Nurmukhametov, Niyaz Gafiyatullin, Lyaila Garifullina, Alexandra Kartashova, Ruslan Minabutdinov, Ilgiz Akhmetzyanov, and Airat Faizov, the chairman of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs.
The summer camp “Brigantina” was open in 1975. Its capacity is 80 children per shift; the camp takes 320 people for the year. The actual cost of the voucher to this camp is 17880.72 rubles; the size of the parent fee is 6 thousand rubles.
The infrastructure of the camp consists of 15 log cabins, a canteen, medical center, sanitary facilities, storage facilities. There is a football field, basketball and volleyball courts on the camp’s territory, and children's recreation areas are organized.
Four shifts are planned in 2019. Each shift has its direction and program.
Sergey Timonin, the program supervisor, told the guests of the camp that the topic of the shift from 1 to 18 of July is civil and patriotic. The main task is to teach children an interest in the history of Kazan, its culture, traditions, and customs of the native land, research activities through a complex of creative, military sports and intellectual events. The program “Candle of Memory” is designed for a shift. The project contributes to the upbringing and educational process of the patriotic direction with its characteristic forms of implementation: military-sports, search-tourism, and museum-archiving business. The deputies noted that the forms of implementing the youth patriotic education program are extensive, but not widespread in the system of summer recreation camps. Therefore, the project is relevant.
During the meeting, members of the working group appreciated the organization of children's activities. They drew attention to the excellent maintenance of the dining room and catering department, medical office, well-groomed territory, and the organization of camp security.
