By-elections to the Kazan City Duma will be held in Kazan on September 8

(KZN.RU, June 24, Alena Miroshnichenko). On September 8, elections to the State Council of the RT will be held in Kazan, as well as byelections to the Kazan City Duma.

The by-election of a deputy in the Kulaginsky single-mandate electoral district №15 was appointed on June 11 due to the early leave of a deputy of the Kazan City Council of the III convocation, said Farit Garaev, the chairman of the city's Election Committee, today at the Business Monday. It is possible to nominate and submit the necessary documents from June 15, the day after the official publication of the decision to call elections in the media, and within a month. The campaign period is scheduled from August 10 to 12 am on September 7. The final stage will be a single voting day on September 8.

The list and forms of documents to be submitted to the Election Commission, as well as guidelines and other necessary information for voters and candidates can be found on the portal KZN.RU.

F. Garaev said that the territorial Election Commission of the Privolzhsky district of Kazan, entrusted with the powers of the district Election Commission, is ready to receive documents. Candidates who have decided to participate in elections, as well as candidates nominated by political parties who have not previously participated in the distribution of deputy mandates, must submit 0.5% of signatures of the number of registered voters in this single-mandate electoral district (198).

“The by-election will have 21 precinct election commissions, consisting of 247 members”, reported the speaker. He urged colleagues to assist in organizing and maintaining the upcoming elections.
