(KZN.RU, August 9). On August 21, Muslims all around the world will celebrate one of the main holidays – Eid al-Adha. Every year, it is celebrated on the tenth day of the Islamic month of Dul-Hijj. Thus, Eid al-Adha in 2018 falls on August 21.
A festive vagaz will begin in the mosques of Kazan and Tatarstan at 4.30 am, a gaet-namaz is at 5 am. It is planned to broadcast the holiday prayer from the Galeevsky mosque on the TV channel “Tatarstan – Novy Vek”, reports the Muslim Religious Board of the RT.
According to the decision of the Council of Kazi Republics of the RT, the amount of nisab for the performance of the sacrifice is 18500 rubles, minus all necessary expenses and debts. The charity fund “Zakyat” of the MRB RT will distribute the meat of the sacrificial animals for the needy population on the day of Eid al-Adha.
The slaughter of the sacrificial animals starts after the festive prayer and lasts for three days in specially designated places: 17 mosques, as well as in the downhole complex along the Mamadysh Tract, №40.
August 21 will be a non-working day in Tatarstan.
